The Alamo’s Director of Education Named to Texas Independence Trail Region’s Board of Directors

The Alamo is honored to share with you that Sherri Driscoll, our Director of Education, has been selected to be the newest member on the Texas Independence Trail Region’s Board of Directors.

The Texas Independence Trail Region is part of the Texas Historical Commission’s (THC) award-winning Heritage Trails Program, a regional tourism initiative that promotes cultural and heritage tourism. This program is designed to aid Texas communities in promoting tourism. It also aims to revitalize local economies and foster community leadership with historic preservation.

“I am honored to have been chosen for the Trail Region’s board,” Sherri Driscoll said. “I look forward to working with my fellow board members on making a positive economic impact on the communities in the region.”

The Texas Independence Trail Region includes the following counties: Austin, Bastrop, Bee, Bexar, Brazoria, Caldwell, Calhoun, Chambers, Colorado, DeWitt, Fayette, Fort Bend, Galveston, Goliad, Gonzales, Guadalupe, Harris, Jackson, Karnes, Lavaca, Liberty, Matagorda, Refugio, Victoria, Waller, Washington, and Wharton.

Sherri brings 14-years of leadership in Alamo education and preservation to this new role on the Texas Independence Trail’s Board of Directors.
